About Dr Patrick Davey

Dr Patrick Davey is both a general aviation pilot and a aeromedical examiner, undertaking the full range of UK CAA and EASA aeromedical exams, including all class 2 and LAPLs, and revalidations/renewals for class 1 and 3

Until recently he was also an Cardiologist at Northampton General Hospital and a Medical Examiner (part of the coroner’s office, examining the cause of deaths). His interests included heart failure, interventional and nuclear cardiology, medical communication and medical education.

He has published a textbook on internal medical for medical students, resident doctors and related students

Dr Davey is a keen aviator and holds an UK Private Pilot Licence with IR[r], an aerobatic rating, seaplane rating, and motorglider class rating also. He and can regularly be found flying around the south of England.
